Beaver Creek Colorado, established in the early 80's, had a vision of luxury in an old world setting. Today Beaver Creek is just that. In the original village, most all Beaver Creek's lodging is ski in/ski out or within easy walking distance of Beaver Creek's four village lifts. (Beaver Creek has a total of 13 lifts.) Beaver Creek Village is mostly all pedestrian walkways in the core area; the centerpiece of the village is an outdoor ice rink. In the village, many of the shops and restaurants are located on the ground floor with the accommodations above. Outlining properties such as the Greystone, Meadows, Saddlewood and others were designed for lodging only.
Arrowhead Village in Beaver Creek is the western most point of entry to the mountain. Lodging here ranges from high-deluxe to luxury. Lodging at the Arrowhead base is generally considered ski in/out. Lodging in Beaver Creek's Bachelor Gulch is nothing less that perfect! Bachelor Gulch, a gated community, lies between Beaver Creek Village and Arrowhead. The majority of the lodging in area are condos and hotels, mostly all ski in/out. Bachelor Gulch is pricey, but if you are looking for the best, it is in Beaver Creek's Bachelor Gulch.
Finally, just outside the gates of Beaver Creek lies the Town of Avon. While not officially within Beaver Creek, most associate the lodging as part of the resort. Here you will find some very affordable accommodations, relative to Beaver Creek. Lodging in this section of the resort include Avon Center, Beaver Creek West and others. The previously recommended properties are near the Town Center's many restaurants, stores and transfer points to both Vail and Beaver Creek Mountain.
